DESIGN DESTINATION: NASHVILLE

This week, CLOSETPHILE is having a change of scenery! Often I like to share my designer favorites in LA, but with LACD’s expansion into the Nashville market, I wanted to round up some of the amazing places and people I came across while I was there. Nashville is fast becoming a major player in the design sphere, and is a quickly growing market for families, developers, designers, and celebrities, making it a natural place to inject some stylish closet love! Angie Simmons, our local Nashville team member shared some amazing spots to find design inspo in town, as well as making connections with some incredible interior professionals. I can’t wait to be back, to bring our LACD brand to Nashville, and to continue to discover all the city has to offer. RAY BOOTH DESIGN

Nashville-based designer Ray Booth creates timeless, yet evocative high end homes that you’re sure to love! With projects featured in many an issue of AD, WSJ. Vogue, and Elle Decor, you’ve probably seen his work. He brings a great understated refinement to the Nashville design scene, and is a must for any design lover on Instagram, with endless inspiration.

SARAH BARTHOLOMEW DESIGN

Known for interiors that balance beauty and function, layer color and pattern, and embody both elegance and practicality, Sarah Bartholomew creates timeless, livable spaces to call home. Sarah opened her first brick-and-mortar store, SB., in Nashville in 2018. A natural extension of the Sarah Bartholomew brand and a must-see if you’re looking for local inspiration!

RACHEL HALVORSON

“I saw that there was a need in this market for an interior designer who understands how young Nashvillians want to live. They're looking for interiors that are cool and comfortable, but that don't cost an arm and two legs. With this in mind, I came up with my company motto: "A fresh approach to affordable interiors." I live by this slogan, both in how I run my company and when it comes to choosing content to post on Nest Egg, my design blog.”

APRIL TOMLIN INTERIORS

April’s texturized and distinctive style has attracted a roster of A-list clientele, including Jason Aldean, Maren Morris, Kelsea Ballerini, Kristin Cavallari and numerous other music industry leaders. She’s also known for her work in some of the city’s most anticipated retail spaces like Uncommon James, Happily Grey Home and Shop Living With Landyn.

Using organic, raw materials and artistic, natural plays on design, juxtaposed with clean and simple palettes, April’s spaces redefine Southern design with her fresh yet deeply grounded style.

JULIE COUCH INTERIORS

Julie Couch creates layered spaces that tell a story. Her passion for design is evident in the collected and curated homes she designs! Her signature style brings a subtle sophistication to the southern design scene, and her namesake art gallery in Nashville’s 12 South district is a staple for any art / design lover.

PFEFFER TORODE ARCHITECTURE

Pfeffer Torode creates balanced and beautiful new takes on the classic styles of southern architecture. Their residential and commercial designs draw on the iconic forms of local history, while presenting fresh and contemporary ways of living.
