SUMMER STARTER SET
Now that summer has arrived, and we’re all starting to venture back out into the world, it’s probably time for a summer refresh! Often, our summer resort wear and beach-going getups are on the more casual side, and clients want these tucked away out of sight in the closet! Well I want to challenge this idea with a roundup of chic summer essentials that you’ll want to see in your closet (or hopefully in your suitcase), all season long! Whether you’re staying local in southern California, or taking to an exotic tropical destination, these modern accessories are must-haves for any beach or poolside summer plans.

Swimwear and coverups are often a point of question for my clients. Everyone seems to have so many swimsuits, and no great way to keep them all paired up in orderly fashion! Also, summer sandals and cover-ups can be tricky, since you want them in a logical place in the closet, but don’t necessarily want to see them all the time… Consider lining a drawer specifically for bathing suits (both bikini and one-piece) to roll them tidily in their own individual cubbies. This way, you’re never in search of a mate when packing for a last minute getaway! This can be an easy upgrade to any existing drawer space in your closet.
For coverups, I would recommend folding sarongs neatly in drawers, or a custom pull-out cabinet with rods to fold them over. For longer ones, create a designated resort area, where you can hang these long, with sun hats, totes, and sandals nearby! Speaking of sandals, consider a cleverly-disguised storage box to keep your casual resort sandals tucked away. If you’re looking for a more custom solution, partitioned pull-out shelves are a fabulous way to maximize real estate wherever you store your shoes, and to keep these more casual summer flats out of sight so the rest of your collection can shine! Larger beach totes can hang on purse hooks, installed to any existing shelf in your closet!
